Who is responsible

Club Deportivo Colegio Puerto Varas, which runs this website and organizes the Sailing Week together with Cofradía Náutica de Frutillar and the Chilean Navy. Tax ID and address: To be confirmed.

Notices by email

If you subscribe to the official notices, we store your email, the class you chose, your language and the date and text of your consent. We use them only to send you the event notices.

If you do not confirm your email, the request is deleted after 7 days. Subscriptions are deleted automatically 60 days after the event ends. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.

Registration and results

Registration is done through a Google form. The data you provide there is used to manage your participation: entry, payment, insurance, regatta communications and results.

As part of the competition, the website publishes the entry list and results with the names of the helm and crew, the boat, sail number, club and country. If you do not want your name to appear, write to us.

Photos and videos

Photos and videos taken during the event may be published on this website and the event's social media. If you appear in one and want it removed, write to us.

Visit statistics, without cookies

To learn which pages are useful we record the page viewed, whether the visit is from a phone or a computer, the website you came from and an anonymous code that changes every day. That code is calculated from your connection and browser, but neither the IP address nor the code identifies you, and the IP is never stored.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If your browser has “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control turned on, your visit is not recorded.

What stays on your device

If you choose your class in the Schedule or Notices, that preference is stored only in your browser so it is ready next time. It is never sent to a server.

Services we use

For the website to work, some data goes through these services, which may have servers outside Chile:

• Vercel: hosts the website.
• Supabase: stores the database and files.
• Resend: sends the notice emails.
• Google: registration form.
• Windy and OpenStreetMap: the wind map and venue maps. They load only when you tap them, and those services may use their own cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, get a copy, or ask us to stop using it for a while. Write to javiera.valdes@cdcpv.cl saying what you need.

We process data under Chilean Law 19,628 on the protection of private life and, from its entry into force, Law 21,719 on personal data protection. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the personal data protection authority.
